An Abaqus implementation of the extended finite element method
In this paper, we introduce an implementation of the extended finite element method for fracture problems within the finite element software ABAQUSTM. User subroutine (UEL) in Abaqus is used to enable the incorporation of extended finite element capabilities. We provide details on the data input format together with the proposed user element subroutine, which constitutes the core of the finite ...
متن کاملA New Restructured Shaded Pole Induction Motor- 3D Finite Element Analysis and Experimental Verification
Shaded pole induction motors, despite the simplicity and low cost, are difficult to analyze particularly in the equivalent circuit methods, due to the asymmetric structure, saturation, harmonics, inaccurate estimation of leakage inductances and skew. Hence, 3D numerical methods could be very useful in the design and optimization stage. This paper presents the 3D transient finite element analysi...
متن کاملImplementation and Verification of a Nodally-Integrated Tetrahedral Element in FEBio
Finite element simulations in computational biomechanics commonly require the discretization of extremely complicated geometries. Creating meshes for these complex geometries can be very difficult and time consuming using hexahedral elements. Automatic meshing algorithms exist for tetrahedral elements, but these elements often have numerical problems that discourage their use in complex finite ...

in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...
15 صفحه اولA Constitutive Model of Hyperelastic Anisotropic Materials: Approach and Implementation in ABAQUS
ABAQUS provides the-state-of-the-art capabilities in hyperelastic modeling of rubber and other isotropic elastomers. Practical interest, however, is often focused on anisotropic elastomer-like materials (e.g., bio-tissues, cord-rubber composites, reinforced polymers, etc.) where properties in various directions are significantly different. The present paper considers a general constitutive mode...
